In this blog post I will continue to pick the gold out of the stress survey I recently had out there. I am so grateful for people answering and I can see in the answers that they spoke right out of their hearts.

I thought I can answer a few of them here – or at least discuss around them. Some of these issues are not solvable in the easy way but they certainly need to be discussed.

This first one is of that kind:

What can I do when the stress is not caused by me, but someone else puts me in a situation of stress? Oh my, this is a common question. I can’t control my situation! It is out of my control! My boss puts all the problems on my shoulders! My spouse puts me in this situation!

This is of course not a quick fix. And I can’t see ONE solution to this – there will be different solutions for everyone. BUT I can see a pattern in all of them. You take over someone else’s problems. One first easy step to clarity could be to write about it, texts, bullet points, whatever. Writing things down is a very good way to get clarity – and you need clarity about why this always happen. Depending on what pops up the next step will be different for each and one of you. Very often the next step is to talk to the person you find dumping their stress on you. Often this resolves a lot. Your boss or spouse, or whoever it was, maybe did not see the pattern. In the other end is such drastic actions as leaving your job or your spouse.

Next question is of a completely different kind: Is stress aging me? The short answer is YES! The longer version is yes, probably – if you are stressed for a long time. Short moments of stress is part of natural life, no one can claim they are never stressed, then they lie. It might not affect them very much but still…. Long-term stress will affect your immune system and can cause many diseases including bad skin which also will make you look older. So there is a very urgent reason to do something about your stress.

This next one is connected with the previous question: Can I recover from it and regain my health? The question to this is also YES. Yes you can recover and it is depending on how long it has been going on and if you already have developed irreversible damage. But it is never too late to do something about this – you can regain your health or you can at least stop the progress of chronic disease.

This will be enough food for thought for today. If you want more hands on tips I can advise you to get my 20 minute audio with the 10 things you might have neglected when trying to get out of stress. You can get it here www.stresslesstoday.com – it also has a bonus that you will find out when you get the audio.

And as usual I want you to write a comment below about your thought on today’s subject. What is your most burning question about stress? How do you find calm in your life? Maybe we can discuss that in a blog post ahead!

To your Success and Keep Smiling!
